Project: COASYN Directional Order Blocks MT5 – Adjustable Swing Reversal Filter
I would like to modify my existing COASYN Directional Order Blocks indicator for MetaTrader 5, as already discussed and agreed with BRAINGRAIN TECHNOLOGIES LLP.
Requirements:
-
Add an optional, fully adjustable signal-to-opposite-signal minimum distance filter, measured in broker points.
-
When a SELL order block is confirmed, record the closing price of its confirmation candle as the reference. Track the lowest lows reached afterwards. Only allow a BUY order block once the specified downward distance has been reached and the normal COASYN BUY conditions are confirmed.
-
Apply the same logic in reverse for BUY to SELL, tracking the highest highs.
-
Keep the first confirmed SELL or BUY as the reference until a qualifying opposite-direction block is confirmed. Additional same-direction blocks must still be drawn and alerted, but must not reset the reference or accumulated distance.
-
Reaching the distance must never generate a signal automatically.
-
Preserve Structure Swing Length at 1 and the original COASYN order-block detection logic.
-
Include the optional ATR-based or fixed-points displacement mode, with adjustable minimum displacement points. Preserve the existing body percentage filter.
-
Preserve confirmed-candle alerts, popup/sound/push options and the existing EA-readable buffer indexes and values.
-
Use closed candles only, process historical candles chronologically without future data, and never generate historical alerts on startup.
-
With the new filters disabled, the indicator must produce exactly the same zones as the original version.
Deliverables:
-
Full editable MQ5 source code and compiled EX5 indicator.
-
A demo build for verification.
-
A comparison report confirming identical original zones when filters are disabled.
-
A short XAUUSD and EURUSD comparison showing the effect of different swing-distance settings.
The settings must be adjustable for different symbols and broker point sizes.
Agreed budget: $40 USD.
This project is intended for the same developer, BRAINGRAIN TECHNOLOGIES LLP, who completed the original COASYN indicator.
