I am planning to publish an Expert Advisor in the Market, and I would like to confirm whether the following design complies with the Market Rules before I submit it.
Design:
- The EA sends price data (OHLC, symbol, timeframe) to my own HTTPS server using WebRequest.
- The server calculates the signal and returns the result (e.g. direction or score), which the EA then displays on the chart.
- The server does NOT perform any licensing, account verification, or update management. Licensing is handled entirely by the built-in MQL5 Market mechanism (purchase or rent).
- The EA does not change its functionality depending on account number, account type, or trading server name.
Questions:
1. Is a Market product that uses WebRequest to receive calculated results from the developer's own server allowed?
2. Does the rule prohibiting third-party sales, accounting, license control and update management systems (including those using WebRequest) apply to this design, given that the server does not handle any licensing?
3. Is it acceptable that users must add my server URL to the allowed URLs list in Options > Expert Advisors?
4. Is it acceptable that the product cannot generate signals while my server is unavailable, if this is clearly stated in the product description?
Thank you for your help.
- MQL Market
- EA that depends on WebRequest Market validation and rental metering experience?
- Need help using HTTP request.
