Reversal Edge EA is a clean, rule-based Expert Advisor built around one idea: the first candle that changes direction.
How it works
- Buy signal: a bullish candle closes right after a bearish candle. The EA opens a buy at the open of the next candle.
- Sell signal: a bearish candle closes right after a bullish candle. The EA opens a sell at the open of the next candle.
- Signals are checked once per new bar, on closed candles only, so there is no repainting and no intrabar guessing.
Risk management built in
- Fixed Stop Loss and Take Profit in pips, set by you.
- Automatic break even: when a trade is in profit by the same distance as your Stop Loss (1:1), the Stop Loss moves to the entry price. This can be switched off.
- Spread filter: skip entries when the spread is wider than your limit.
- Lot normalisation to your broker's minimum, maximum and step.
- Safe with other trades: the EA only manages positions carrying its own Magic Number. It never modifies or closes manual trades or trades from other EAs.
- Works on 2, 3, 4 and 5 digit brokers (pip conversion handled automatically).

Recommended setup
- Start on a demo account and run the Strategy Tester on the symbol and timeframe you plan to trade.
- Use a broker with tight spreads and low commissions. The EA enters on every qualifying candle, so trading costs matter.
- Optimise StopLossPips and TakeProfitPips for each symbol. A setting that suits EURUSD will not suit XAUUSD or an index.
- Use a VPS if you want it running around the clock.
- Size your lots so that a full Stop Loss is an amount you are comfortable losing.
Important notes
- The EA opens a new trade on every valid signal, even if a position is already open. Several trades can be open together, so allow for the combined risk.
- Results depend on the symbol, timeframe, broker conditions and your settings.
