SamurAI Hassila trades USDJPY at night. It watches the quiet hours of the Asian session and, on the nights that qualify, places its orders to catch the move that often follows. Many nights it does nothing at all. When it does trade, it is one position, with its stop loss on the server from the first second.
The rules came out of ten years of USDJPY data, 2016 to 2026, and were checked against random entries and in years that were not used to choose the settings. Most trades are small losses or small wins. A few nights run far and pay for the rest, so the EA does not use a take profit and should not be closed by hand.
Risk and protections
Risk is a percentage of the balance and grows with the account. After a losing streak the risk is cut in half until the results recover. The lot is checked against free margin, the symbol volume limits and the broker stop and freeze levels. Every trade is closed before midday New York, and before strong US news when the MetaTrader calendar shows it. Nothing is kept over the weekend. There is no grid, no martingale and no averaging down.
The panel
The panel shows New York time, the state of the night, why the EA trades or waits, the planned closing time and the current risk. On the chart it draws the session it watches, its order levels and the closing time.
Before you use it
Attach it to one USDJPY chart on M5. New York time is worked out from the server clock, set by default for brokers on GMT+2 in winter with US daylight saving. The MetaTrader calendar does not work inside the Strategy Tester, so backtests run without the news exit. The default risk of 2% is aggressive; a lower value gives smaller drawdowns. Results depend on spread, commission and execution, so test it with your broker's data and costs and use a demo account before going live. The screenshots show hypothetical results from a historical simulation. Past results do not guarantee future results.
