Latchpoint Gold AI trades breakouts on XAUUSD. It places stop orders just beyond
recent highs and lows, and a built-in AI model decides which breakouts are worth
taking. Every trade has a stop loss, a take profit and a profit lock.
( Please do not deploy aggressively understand the risk management as per equity size)
How the risk mode works out the lot: the stop loss is 200 pips, a $2.00 move in gold. At 1.00 lot that costs about $200.

- 2% means each single trade loses about 2% of equity if it hits its stop loss.
- The EA can hold up to 3 trades at once (Max open positions = 3). If all three hit their stop losses together, the account can lose about 6% at once.
- Without a daily limit, losses can keep adding up through the day. Four losing trades at 2% is about 8%.
WHO IT IS FOR
Traders who want a gold EA with clear rules and fixed risk on every trade. It does
not average down, add to losers or hold trades for days. You can see exactly why
it places, skips or removes an order.
HOW IT FINDS TRADES
Every 15 minutes the EA checks five price levels:
- The high and low of the last 5 days
- The high and low of the last 2 days
- Last week's high and low
- The high and low of the last 6 H4 candles
- The latest unbroken H1 swing high and low
Before an order is placed, the level must pass these checks: spread, distance from
price, spacing from other orders, recent losing attempts at that level, and the
AI filter.
THE AI FILTER
The model was trained on XAUUSD M5 data. Before each order it looks at 17 inputs:
1-hour and 4-hour momentum, volatility, distance to the level, position in the
daily range, time of day, the last candle and which level it is. About 1 in 5
signals pass. Pending orders are re-scored every 15 minutes and removed if the
score drops.
The model is built into the EA. No DLLs, no internet connection, no extra files.
The AI filter runs on gold symbols only.
HOW TRADES ARE MANAGED
- Stop loss: 200 pips ($2 on gold) on every order
- Take profit: 1400-1500 pips ($14-15)
- Profit lock: starts at +$1 and closes the trade if it gives back half its best gain
- When the lock starts, the broker stop loss moves to entry +$0.10
- Most trades last 1 to 2 minutes
No martingale. No grid. No averaging down.
PROTECTION
- No new orders from Friday 16:58 to Monday 02:01 (server time); trades closed before the weekend
- No pending orders during the daily rollover
- Pending orders removed 30 minutes before and 60 minutes after high-impact USD news
- Maximum 3 open trades
- Optional daily loss limit and maximum drawdown stop
WHAT YOU SEE ON THE CHART
A status panel shows whether the EA is active or paused (weekend, news, rollover),
the result of the last check (levels found, orders placed, how many the AI
skipped and why) and the time of the next check. If something blocks trading,
like Algo Trading being off, the panel tells you.
RISK SETTINGS
Choose Risk % mode, which sizes each order from your equity, or a fixed lot.
Suggested starting points:
- Conservative: 0.01 lot per $1,000 (about 0.2% risk per trade)
- Balanced: 0.01 lot per $500 (about 0.4%)
- Aggressive: 0.01 lot per $250 (about 0.8%)
The default of 2% is for experienced traders only. A full settings guide with lot

PROP FIRM USE
Set Risk % to 0.2, Max open positions to 2, and keep the daily loss limit and
drawdown stop below your firm's limits. Most trades last 1-2 minutes, so check your
firm's rules on very short trades.
REQUIREMENTS
- Symbol: XAUUSD (any gold symbol name works)
- Timeframe: any; M5 recommended
- Account: hedging recommended; netting supported (one trade at a time)
- A VPS, so the profit lock runs without interruption
- Strategy Tester: use "Every tick based on real ticks"
