Simple entries. Intelligent exits.
CrossPulse MT5 is an Expert Advisor designed for traders who want a clear, easy-to-understand strategy with straightforward settings.
Its entry logic is based on the crossing of two moving averages, one of the most widely used concepts in technical analysis. However, the main strength of CrossPulse lies in the way it manages open positions after the entry.
The EA works automatically, detects confirmed moving average crossovers, and manages single positions and groups of positions in different ways.
HOW CROSSPULSE MT5 WORKS
The logic is simple:
Bullish crossover:
When the faster moving average crosses the slower moving average from below to above, the EA opens a BUY position.
Bearish crossover:
When the faster moving average crosses the slower moving average from above to below, the EA opens a SELL position.
The signal is confirmed using closed candles only, helping to reduce entries caused by temporary intrabar crossovers while the current candle is still forming.
Each new valid crossover can generate a new trade, even if previous positions are still open.
CrossPulse MT5 can also hold BUY and SELL positions at the same time, so it was developed specifically for Hedging accounts.
TWO DIFFERENT PROFIT MANAGEMENT MODES
This is one of the main features of CrossPulse MT5.
1. ONLY ONE POSITION OF THE SAME TYPE
When there is only one BUY position or only one SELL position, it is managed using:
Trailing Start
and
Trailing Stop
Once the trade moves the configured number of points into profit, the trailing mechanism begins protecting the position.
2. TWO OR MORE POSITIONS OF THE SAME TYPE
When there are two or more BUY positions, or two or more SELL positions, the management logic changes automatically.
In this situation, the EA stops using individual trailing management for that group and switches to a collective profit target based on the total open volume.
The user defines how much profit should be achieved for each 0.01 lot.
Example:
Total BUY volume:
0.50 lot
This represents:
50 units of 0.01 lot
If the user sets:
$1.00 profit for each 0.01 lot
the collective target becomes:
50 × $1.00 = $50.00
When the combined profit of the BUY positions reaches the defined target, the EA closes the entire BUY group.
BUY and SELL positions are managed independently.
This allows multiple positions of the same type to be treated as one trading group.
FULLY CONFIGURABLE MOVING AVERAGESFor each of the two moving averages, the user can configure:
- Period
- Shift
- Method
Available moving average methods:
- SMA
- EMA
- SMMA
- LWMA
The applied price is fixed to Close.
This provides flexibility for testing many combinations while keeping the EA simple and easy to configure.

TIMEFRAMESCrossPulse MT5 can operate on all MetaTrader 5 timeframes.
M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4 and other timeframes may produce very different behavior because the frequency of moving average crossovers changes depending on the selected timeframe.
During development tests, the most interesting results were observed mainly on:
XAUUSD – M5
and
XAUUSD – M15
For this reason, these can be useful starting points for further testing.
However, this does not mean that these settings will necessarily be the best for every broker, market condition or trading environment.
RUN YOUR OWN TESTSCrossPulse MT5 was designed to allow each user to find their own preferred combinations.
We recommend using the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester to test different:
- symbols;
- timeframes;
- moving average periods;
- moving average methods;
- trailing settings;
- profit targets per 0.01 lot;
- lot sizes.
Spread, volatility, broker specifications and historical data quality may produce different results.
A configuration that performs well on XAUUSD may behave very differently on EURUSD, GBPUSD, indices, cryptocurrencies or other instruments.

CrossPulse MT5 is designed to identify that moment — the pulse of the crossover.

IMPORTANT
Results obtained in backtests or during previous market periods do not guarantee future performance.
Before using the Expert Advisor on a real account, perform your own tests and adjust the lot size according to your account balance and risk tolerance.
We strongly recommend testing the EA on a Demo account first so you can understand its behavior before trading with real money.
