Overview
TrendPilot EA is a fully automated trend-following system for MT5. It continuously monitors the market's directional trend and trades in the direction of that trend, aiming to capture sustained price moves while staying out of the market when no clear trend is present. The EA runs unattended on a fixed internal timeframe and handles trade entry, exit, and position sizing automatically — no manual monitoring required.

Results from a Strategy Tester run on XAUUSDm, M15, covering January 1, 2026 – September 11, 2026, with real-tick history quality, on an Exness MT5 account with a $20,000 initial deposit.

  • Equity Drawdown (Maximal): 19.51% ($10,562.12)
  • Expected Payoff per Trade: $65.57

Reading the numbers: the strategy wins a minority of its trades (~35%), but average winning trades are considerably larger than average losing trades, which is what drives the overall profit factor of 4.74 over the tested period. As with any backtest, results reflect historical market conditions and the specific symbol/broker/spread environment tested — they are not a guarantee of future performance.

Recommended Use

  • Best suited to trending, liquid instruments (tested here on Gold/XAUUSD).
  • Always validate on a demo account first with your own broker's spread and execution conditions before going live.
