Scan multiple markets. See what is developing. Know what needs to happen next.
Watching many markets manually can be slow and inconsistent. A trader may understand the broader direction of a market but still struggle with three practical questions: Which chart deserves attention now? Is the setup actually progressing? What still needs to happen before it is ready for a final review?
TraderStart Opportunity Radar is a MetaTrader 5 decision-support indicator designed to make that process more structured.
It scans a configured multi-market watchlist, ranks developing opportunities, and presents each market as a clear setup workflow. Instead of relying only on technical labels or unexplained scores, the dashboard focuses on what is happening NOW, what is still missing, what should happen NEXT, and what would invalidate the current idea.
Opportunity Radar does not place trades, manage positions, or promise profitable outcomes. The trader remains responsible for final chart analysis, risk, execution and trade management.
WHAT THE INDICATOR ANALYSES
The core setup workflow combines:
- H4 Context
- H1 Structure
- H1 Pullback
- H1 Location
- M15 Confirmation
The indicator can be attached to a practical chart timeframe while the core analysis continues to use the defined H4, H1 and M15 workflow.
SETUP LIFECYCLE
Each market progresses through clear states:
WATCH — The setup is still early. Some useful directional or structural conditions may exist, but more evidence is required.
DEVELOPING — More parts of the setup are aligning, but important conditions are still incomplete.
NEAR READY — The setup is close to completion and a specific remaining requirement is still missing.
READY — The indicator's defined setup conditions have completed and the market is ready for the trader's final review.
ACTIVE — A previously READY setup remains active under the indicator's current conditions.
DETERIORATING — The setup has weakened after previously reaching a stronger state.
INVALIDATED — A structural requirement for the setup has failed.
READY is not a guarantee that the market will move in the expected direction. It means only that the conditions defined by Opportunity Radar have completed.
MAIN DASHBOARD
CLOSEST OPPORTUNITY
Highlights the market currently furthest through the setup process according to the indicator's rule set.
RADAR
Ranks the scanned markets so the trader can focus attention where setup progression is strongest.
OPPORTUNITY STORY
Shows the selected market's direction, current stage, timeframe flow, completed conditions, missing conditions, invalidation information and quality/progress context.
NOW
Explains the current setup condition in plain English.
NEXT
Explains the next requirement before the setup can progress.
SETUP PROGRESS AND QUALITY
Shows how closely the current market matches the indicator's defined setup conditions. These are rule-based measures, not a win probability, prediction percentage or guarantee of profitability.
CHART LEVELS
When available, Opportunity Radar plots useful setup levels directly on the chart.
M15 Confirmation Level
Shows a level or condition associated with final M15 confirmation before the setup can progress to READY under the indicator's logic.
H1 Structural Invalidation
Shows the structural level that would invalidate the current setup thesis if the required close condition occurs.
Chart labels include plain-English hover explanations where available. These levels explain the setup structure; they are not automatic trade instructions.
HOW TO USE OPPORTUNITY RADAR
1. Install Opportunity Radar through the MQL5 Market in MetaTrader 5 desktop.
2. Make sure the markets you want to scan are available in Market Watch.
3. Attach the indicator to a chart.
4. Allow MT5 to load the required H4, H1 and M15 history.
5. Start with the Closest Opportunity panel.
6. Check the current setup stage.
7. Read NOW and NEXT.
8. Click a market in the Radar to inspect its Opportunity Story.
9. Review the confirmation and invalidation levels on the actual chart where available.
10. Make the final trading decision yourself.
A NEAR READY state is not an instruction to enter early. It means the setup is progressing while one or more defined requirements are still incomplete.
ALERTS AND SETUP-STATE CHANGES
Opportunity Radar is designed around meaningful setup-state events rather than constant price notifications.
The current commercial defaults include alerts for READY, DETERIORATING and INVALIDATED, while NEAR READY alerts are disabled by default. Popup and push notifications are enabled by default, while sound alerts are disabled by default. These settings can be changed in the indicator inputs.
Market conditions can change after a setup becomes READY. A setup may therefore move to DETERIORATING or INVALIDATED. If the required conditions later realign, a setup can become READY again.
PERSISTENT SETUP STATE
Opportunity Radar includes persistent setup-state handling so an existing opportunity is not automatically treated as completely new after normal chart timeframe changes, indicator reattachment or terminal restarts within the configured persistence window.
The current default persistence window is 72 hours.
DISPLAY AND WORKFLOW OPTIONS
AUTO — Automatically selects a practical dashboard layout for the available chart space.
COMPACT — Reduces the dashboard footprint for smaller screens.
FULL — Shows the complete dashboard where screen space allows.
MINIMIZE — Hides the main dashboard while retaining useful working chart overlays.
The indicator also includes first-run guidance, hover help, chart-level controls and automatic selection of the closest opportunity by default.
DEFAULT MARKET COVERAGE
The current default watchlist contains 30 markets:
EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, USDCHF, AUDUSD, NZDUSD, USDCAD,
EURGBP, EURJPY, EURCHF, EURAUD, EURNZD, EURCAD,
GBPJPY, GBPCHF, GBPAUD, GBPNZD, GBPCAD,
AUDJPY, AUDCHF, AUDNZD, AUDCAD,
NZDJPY, NZDCHF, NZDCAD,
CADJPY, CADCHF, CHFJPY,
XAUUSD and XAGUSD.
The configured market list can be changed in the indicator inputs.
BROKER SYMBOLS AND MARKET WATCH
Broker symbol naming differs. A broker may use standard names, suffixes or prefixes.
Opportunity Radar checks configured symbols before using them and includes handling intended to resolve common broker naming variations. Symbols that are not available are skipped rather than being treated as valid data.
Actual compatibility still depends on the symbols provided by the broker. If a market is unavailable or still loading, confirm that the symbol exists in Market Watch and allow MT5 to download the required H4, H1 and M15 history before relying on that market's result.

Advanced setup-engine parameters are also available in the inputs. They should only be changed by users who understand how those parameters affect the indicator's rule set.
WHEN A MARKET IS STILL LOADING
A temporary loading state normally means MT5 is still downloading or preparing history for one or more required timeframes.
Do not rely on that market until loading clears.
If loading does not clear:
- confirm the symbol exists in Market Watch;
- open the symbol manually;
- open H4, H1 and M15 once to help MT5 request history;
- confirm the terminal has an active connection;
- allow the indicator to refresh.
WHO OPPORTUNITY RADAR IS FOR
Opportunity Radar is intended for traders who monitor multiple markets and want a structured way to narrow attention, follow setup progression, and understand what is complete, what is missing and what would invalidate the current idea.
It is especially useful for traders who prefer a guided workflow rather than constantly switching between many charts without a consistent process.
WHAT OPPORTUNITY RADAR DOES NOT DO
Opportunity Radar does not:
- place trades automatically;
- manage open positions;
- guarantee profitable trades;
- provide a win probability;
- replace the trader's own risk management;
- remove event or execution risk;
- remove the need to review the actual chart before entering;
- provide personalised financial advice;
- run as a custom indicator on MT5 mobile.

MT5 mobile does not run custom desktop indicators.
Support is provided through the MQL5 product comments and MQL5 messaging system.
For technical support, useful information includes the MT5 version, broker name, exact symbol name, chart timeframe, a screenshot of the issue and any relevant Experts or Journal message.
Trading involves risk. Opportunity Radar is intended to organise analysis and help the trader understand the setup workflow. It should be used as one part of a broader trading process that includes independent chart review, risk control, execution awareness and appropriate position sizing.
