The Moving Average Ladder is a comprehensive MetaTrader 5 indicator designed to provide clear entry signals and manage visual trade levels directly on your chart. Whether you are a trend follower or a grid trader, this tool offers a highly customizable array of moving averages to map out the market structure and pinpoint trading opportunities.
How It Works At its core, the indicator monitors up to 10 distinct Moving Averages. You can select a specific Trigger Moving Average to act as your signal baseline. A Buy signal is generated when the closing price crosses above your chosen Trigger Moving Average, while a Sell signal occurs when the price crosses below it.
Beyond simple entries, the indicator features a unique pending grid system. You can designate a range of Moving Averages as your grid levels. After an initial signal fires, the indicator patiently waits for the price to retrace and touch these grid levels, drawing secondary arrows to highlight potential pullback entries or dynamic support and resistance zones.
Key Features and Customization Flexible Moving Average Setup: You have the ability to enable anywhere from 1 to 10 Moving Averages using a simple dropdown menu. Each of the 10 Moving Averages can be customized with its own unique calculation period and color.
Visual Trade Levels: The indicator automatically calculates Stop Loss and Take Profit levels based on your customized point inputs. It plots visual Stop Loss and Take Profit lines on your chart that automatically disappear once the price hits them, keeping your workspace clean. You can also choose to leave permanent symbols on the chart to review past trade levels.
Signal Control: To prevent market noise from cluttering your chart, a bar delay feature is included. This ensures a minimum number of bars must pass before a new signal is generated.
On-Chart Dashboards Visual Panel: A sleek, on-chart panel displays critical real-time information. It shows your current trigger moving average value, the direction and price of the last generated signal, the number of bars since the last signal, and a mini-history of your three most recent signals. The panel's colors and position are fully adjustable.
Chart Signal Log: An optional secondary panel keeps a running log of up to five recent signals directly on your chart for quick reference.
Alerts and Logging Stay informed without constantly watching the screen. The indicator supports popup alerts with a customizable cooldown timer to prevent alert spam. For advanced users, there is a comprehensive logging system that can output signal data to the terminal or save it directly to a local file, complete with file size management.
