This indicator, the BB Donchian Hybrid (Volatility Breakout Analyzer), is a dual-layered technical analysis tool designed to identify high-probability trend entries by combining statistical volatility with price-action extremes.
By merging the "elasticity" of Bollinger Bands with the "structural" boundaries of Donchian Channels, it filters out the market noise that often leads to false breakouts.

The indicator operates on two primary mathematical pillars:
The Bollinger Band "Squeeze" (The Engine): Using standard deviation, the Bollinger Bands act as a gauge for market energy. When the bands contract (the Squeeze), it signals that volatility is at a cyclical low and a massive expansion is imminent.
The Donchian Channel "Trigger" (The Wall): The Donchian Channels plot the literal highest highs and lowest lows over a set period. Unlike Bollinger Bands, which move based on averages, Donchian Channels only move when the market actually breaks a new structural level.
How to Read the Indicator
Volatility Warming: When you see the Bollinger Bands tightening significantly within the wider Donchian Channels, the market is "coiling" for a move.
Bullish Breakout: A valid long signal occurs when price closes above the Upper Donchian Channel. Using the Bollinger Band as a secondary filter ensures the breakout is supported by an increase in momentum.
Bearish Breakout: A valid short signal occurs when price closes below the Lower Donchian Channel, suggesting a breakdown of the current support structure.
Trend Exhaustion: If the price "walks" the Bollinger Bands but fails to push the Donchian Channel higher, it often signals that the trend is losing steam and a reversal or consolidation is near.
