Gold Break Scalp
The EA combines three independent internal breakout trading systems — Alpha, Bravo and Charlie — each using a different mathematical approach to identify dynamic breakout levels. The systems calculate their own upper and lower levels, then monitor live market prices for confirmed breakouts.
When price moves beyond a calculated breakout level by the required buffer, the corresponding system can open a BUY or SELL trade. Each system operates independently.

Dynamic Breakout Architecture
The three internal systems use different calculations:
Alpha uses a statistical price-band calculation to establish dynamic upper and lower breakout levels.
Bravo combines a detrended price calculation with a sine-based component to create its breakout boundaries.
Charlie combines a cyclic/sine component and levels to determine its trading boundaries.
Recommended Broker Conditions
For XAUUSD, use:
-
5 minute timeframe
-
Raw spread / ECN-style account
-
Low XAUUSD spread
-
Competitive commission
-
Good execution quality
-
Low slippage
-
Reliable MT5 server
-
VPS located close to the broker's trading server
Avoid brokers/accounts with consistently wide gold spreads.
Advanced Trade Management
Gold Break Scalp is built around active position management rather than relying exclusively on a conventional fixed broker-side stop.
The default configuration uses:
-
Virtual Stop Loss
-
Virtual Trailing Stop
-
Breakeven
-
Virtual Take Profit
-
Broker safety SL
The virtual trailing stop is updated using every incoming tick, allowing the EA to react quickly to short-term movements in gold. The EA also maintains a broker-side safety stop beyond the virtual stop to provide an additional layer of protection.
The virtual trading state is also saved using MT5 terminal Global Variables. This allows the EA to restore its tracked position, virtual stop, breakeven state and other information after a terminal or VPS restart.
Built-In News Protection
The EA includes a built-in MT5 Economic Calendar news filter, so no external news feed is required.
With the default settings, new trades are blocked around selected high-impact USD events:
-
NFP
-
CPI / Core CPI
-
FOMC events
-
Federal Reserve interest-rate decisions
The default blackout is:
5 minutes before the event → 15 minutes after the event
Existing positions are not automatically closed during the news period with the default settings.
The EA uses the MT5 economic calendar and specifically checks USD currency and high-impact classification before an event can activate the filter.
VPS Is Strongly Recommended
A VPS is highly recommended and effectively essential for serious automated operation.
This is particularly important because the EA uses tick-by-tick virtual trailing and active trade management. A stable VPS keeps MT5 connected to the broker and allows the EA to manage positions continuously without depending on your personal computer remaining switched on.
For best results, use a VPS with low latency/ping to your broker's trading server.
Recommended Starting Capital
The default lot size is 0.01 lots.
As a practical minimum, I recommend approximately:
$200 starting balance per 0.01 lot
Examples:
-
$200 → 0.01 lot
-
$400 → 0.02 lot
-
$1000 → 0.05 lot
-
$2,000 → 0.1 lot
-
$10,000 → 0.5 lot
These are simple proportional guidelines, not guaranteed risk levels. Actual margin requirements, contract specifications, leverage, spread and XAUUSD pricing differ between brokers.
Do not increase lot size simply because the account balance permits it. Always consider the broker's gold contract specification and your own acceptable risk.
Account Type
The EA is designed to work with MT5 trading accounts, but hedging mode is recommended.
The three internal systems use separate magic numbers and can independently maintain positions. On a netting account, opposite-direction trades can be merged into a single net position, which means the per-system tracking is not intended to work in the same way. The EA itself warns about this condition during initialization.
Live Trading Signal
A live trading signal is available for traders who want to observe the EA's real-market behaviour before deciding whether to purchase or deploy it.
The live signal can be useful for evaluating:
-
Actual execution
-
Spread conditions
-
Trade frequency
-
Drawdown
-
Trailing behaviour
-
Real-market slippage
-
Performance during different gold market conditions
Live trading results can differ significantly between brokers because XAUUSD spreads, liquidity, execution and slippage are broker-dependent.
Important
This EA is designed specifically around short-term gold trading and should not be evaluated solely from historical backtests.
For an EA using aggressive tick-based trailing management, live forward performance, execution quality and trading costs are extremely important.
Always test the EA on a demo account first and use appropriate risk management before moving to a live account.
Price of EA will increase based on number of sales - final price $499
Gold Break Scalp MT5 is designed for traders looking for an automated, fast-reacting XAUUSD M5 breakout system with multi-system entries, active tick-based trade management, spread protection, news protection and VPS-friendly operation.
