AI for forex has been extensively researched, with institutions like MIT attempting to develop a proper system, but with no success. This is likely due to the chaotic nature of the market. Currently, the best available system seems to be the self-optimization of BBSO and Gaussian math, while other systems based on fixed optimization can become obsolete quickly and result in frequent changes in popular EAs. Despite ongoing efforts, a reliable AI system for forex has yet to be found. For now, BBSO remains a stable solution that can be trusted if used correctly.

There are storage costs involved, insurance etc. Most modern hedge funds prefer Vix options. Puts on the S and P and yielding bonds in perceived times of trouble.
