Project Overview

I am looking for a kind and professional MQL5 developer to create a simple Expert Advisor (EA) for MetaTrader 5 based on a Mean Reversion Strategy. The EA should operate on a single symbol (currency pair, stock, or commodity) at a time, applying a grid system to average down positions while dynamically adjusting take profit levels. The backtesting must be fully functional within MT5's strategy tester.

Trading Strategy Requirements

1. Entry Criteria

• The EA should allow the user to choose either RSI or Stochastic as the primary entry signal.
• RSI-based entry:
• Buy when RSI is below a specified level (e.g., 30).
• Sell when RSI is above a specified level (e.g., 70).
• Stochastic-based entry:
• Buy when %K crosses above %D below a certain level (e.g., 20).
• Sell when %K crosses below %D above a certain level (e.g., 80).
• The user should be able to select only one indicator at a time for entry signals.

2. EMA Filter (Optional)

• The EA should allow an Exponential Moving Average (EMA) filter.
• If enabled:
• Sell if the price is above the EMA.
• Buy if the price is below the EMA.
• If disabled, the EA takes trades solely based on RSI/Stochastic signals.

3. Grid & Position Management

• If the price moves against the initial position, the EA should open additional trades at predefined intervals (points selected by the user; always the same points).
• No new trades in that symbol until the grid is closed.
• Parameters to be adjustable:
• Grid distance (in points).
• Lot multiplier (each additional trade can have a lot size relative to the first).
• No Maximum number of grid trades. It always opens new trades when it reaches the adequate distance until the grid is closed.

4. Take Profit & Stop Loss

• No Stop Loss: The user will manually close trades if necessary.
• Dynamic Take Profit:
• Inicial TP in points inserted by the user.
• The EA should adjust the TP level dynamically based on the open grid positions. Meaning that the final closing of the grid should provide the original TP points accounting for all the grid.

5. Trade Execution & Management

• If a grid is active, the EA should not open new trades until the grid is closed.
• The EA should work on all timeframes and instruments supported by MT5.

User Interface (On-Chart Panel)

• No need for it.

Backtesting Requirements

• The EA must be fully testable in MT5’s strategy tester.
• Backtest performance should be optimized for fast execution.

Development Requirements

• The EA should be coded in MQL5 for MT5.
• The code should be efficient and optimized.
• The EA must work on both live trading and backtesting.
• Execution should be fast and stable, with minimal CPU and memory usage.
