Create EA: Super Trend for signals with moving average and MACD for confirmation

Super Trend to give buy / sell signals (As per normal Super Trend indicator or EA)

Filter rules: Moving Average

• 1.      For a buy trade, signal candle must close above the moving average

 Valid BUY trade                              No trade, candle below MA

• 2.      For a sell trade, signal candle must close below the moving average

Valid SELL trade                                          No SELL, candle above MA

If candle close value = Moving Average value : NO TRADE

Filter rules: MACD

• 1.      For a buy trade, the MACD line must be greater than ZERO (ONLY USE MACD LINE, NOT THE SIGNAL LINE)

Valid BUY - MACD line value > 0                                                 No BUY, MACD line value < 0

• 2.      For a sell trade, the MACD line must be less than ZERO (ONLY USE MACD LINE, NOT THE SIGNAL LINE)

                   Valid entry – MACD line < 0                                                    No trade – MACD line > 0

If MACD line value = ZERO : NO TRADE

If both Moving Average and MACD filters are selected, rules for Moving Average and MACD must be met before taking a trade.

·       Close trades on opposite signal:

If “True” then:

If take profit or stoploss is not triggered but the Super Trend gives an opposite signal, trade should be closed.

Close on signal, whether entry rules for next trade are met or not

If “False: leave trade open till take profit or stoploss is triggered

·       Number of trades per day:

If “0” then each valid entry should be taken on that pair.

If eg. “2” then only 2 valid entries can be taken on that pair from 00:00 to 23:59.

If a trade is opened and only closes during the next day, it will not form part of the number of trades for that specific day it closed

·       Session settings:

If “Trade all sessions” is TRUE, EA must run 24/7

If “Trade all sessions” is False, EA must only run during those specified periods. Eg:

Specific time #1: 01:00 – 05:00

Specific time #2: 08:00 – 14:00

Specific time #3: 18:00 – 22:00

Specific time #4: 18:00 – 22:00

No trades during the periods not specified.

Only trade on days that are “True”
