GTM Prop Guard watches a prop firm account so a rule is never broken by accident. It shows how much you can still lose today, works out the biggest safe lot before you trade, draws the price where the account would fail, and steps in when a limit gets close: warn, then close new trades, then close everything and lock.
It watches the whole account - every symbol, every EA, and trades placed from your phone - from one chart.

Room left today and the safe lot
- ROOM LEFT TODAY: the money you can still lose today after the worst case of the open trades - every open stop loss and, if you want, every pending order that could fill and stop out.
- SAFE LOT NOW: the biggest lot for your stop that keeps you inside the room.
- Both numbers include commission and the spread, and stop a little early with a safety buffer you choose.
ENTRY tab - a safe ticket for any symbol
- Pick any symbol from Market Watch, BUY or SELL, the stop in points and the take profit in R.
- Risk per trade: 15, 25, 50 or 100 % of today's room, or 0.25, 0.5 or 1 % of the account - never more than the room.
- The lot is also capped by the max risk per trade, the firm's lot caps and your free margin, and the panel says which cap decided it.
- AUTO sends the safe lot. MANUAL lets you type your own lot - a lot bigger than the safe one is refused.
- On the chart symbol the entry, stop and target are drawn as lines; drag the stop or the target and the numbers follow.
- PLACE sends the trade with its stop and target already attached.
Loss limits the way prop firms count them
- Daily loss in % of the account, counted from the balance, the equity or the higher of the two at the day reset, or from the initial balance. The reset time is set in server time.
- Max loss: static, trailing on the equity high, trailing that stops at the initial balance, or trailing on the end-of-day balance.
- Bars show the real loss and, lighter, the loss if every open stop is hit.
- Fail prices on the chart: the price where the daily limit and the max limit would be broken with the trades you hold now, and the price where the profit target is reached.
What the guard does
- Warn at 80 % of a limit, close new trades at 90 % and close everything at 95 % - all three levels can be changed.
- After a daily breach the account is locked until the day reset; after a max loss breach it stays locked. With Hard lock on there is no unlock button.
- When trading is blocked, pending orders are deleted and any new trade - from any EA or the phone - is closed.
- Close everything when the profit target is reached (optional).
- A trade with no stop gets a safe stop after a short grace time, or is closed - your choice.
- LOCK TODAY stops trading yourself until the reset.
Behaviour guard
- Max trades per day and max trades open at once.
- A pause after a run of losses (for example 30 minutes after 3 losses in a row).
- Trading hours, allowed symbols, no hedging, lot caps per trade and in total.
- Cut a new trade whose stop risks more than the per-trade limit.
- News blackout around high-impact events from the MT5 economic calendar, with an option to close trades on that currency first.
- Weekend close on Friday at the hour you set.
- A daily profit cap, and a cap that keeps the best day inside the consistency rule.
TRADES tab
- Every open trade on the account with its float and what it still loses if its stop is hit.
- Click a row to pick a trade: close it, take half off, move the stop to break even, or add a safe stop.
- Close or take half off every trade on the picked symbol, close all, close all losers.
- A log of everything the guard did, with the time.
JOURNEY tab - the road to the payout
- Profit target progress and how many more trading days it takes at your average pace.
- A calendar of the month with the net result of every day.
- Consistency planner: how much more you can bank today before your best day becomes too big a share of the profit.
- Payout readiness: target, minimum trading days, consistency, no breach, minimum hold time and days since the last trade.
- Win rate, profit factor and worst day; export every day to a CSV file.
RULES and HELP inside the panel
- Four templates - 2-step, 1-step, instant funding, funded - as a starting point.
- Every rule can be changed on the panel on three pages (limits, behaviour, actions) and saved for the account.
- A HELP tab with 7 topics, and a short note on every button.
Alerts
- Popup and sound, MT5 push notifications to your phone, and optional Telegram messages with a daily summary.
Please read before you buy
- Your firm's rules always win. The templates are a starting point only - check every number against your firm's rules page.
- MetaTrader 5 cannot stop an order before it reaches the broker. When trading is blocked, a new trade is closed right after it opens - usually in under a second - so it can still cost the spread and commission.
- The guard works only while MetaTrader 5 is running with it attached. For protection around the clock, run it on a VPS.
- Attach it to one chart per account. It does not trade by itself and has no strategy; it is not a signal service and does not promise profit.
- Telegram needs https://api.telegram.org under Tools > Options > Expert Advisors > Allow WebRequest. News and Telegram are not available in the Strategy Tester; every other part can be tried in the demo (in the tester use the - / + buttons, typing is not possible there).
Getting started
- Attach the guard to one chart and allow Algo Trading.
- Check the account size on the header; set it in the inputs if it is wrong.
- Open RULES, pick a template, check every number and press SAVE RULES.
- Trade as usual - from the ENTRY tab, another EA or your phone.

Rules saved on the panel replace the input values for that account; BACK TO INPUTS returns to the inputs.
