Before we begin, please have a close look at the original consecutive bars indicator in the attachment for reference.
This is a simple project if you are have experience building MT4 indicators in the past. Basically, I’m looking to keep the existing alert functionality on the indicator while adding/changing the conditions by which the alerts appear on the chart.
I need you to make the following changes to the conditions which would trigger the alert on the chart:
1) Remove the previous alert condition (consecutive bars of same color - bullish/bearish)
2) Add the following list of specific patterns as one of the new alert conditions:
Bearish Alert Conditions:
a) One Bullish Candle, Two Bearish Candles, One Bullish Candle, Two Bearish Candles
b) One Bullish Candle, Three Bearish Candles, One Bullish Candle, Two Bearish Candles
c) One Bullish Candle, Four Bearish Candles, One Bullish Candle, Two Bearish Candles
Bullish Alert Conditions:
d) One Bearish Candle, Two Bullish Candles, One Bearish Candle, Two Bullish Candles
e) One Bearish Candle, Three Bullish Candles, One Bearish Candle, Two Bullish Candles
f) One Bearish Candle, Four Bullish Candles, One Bearish Candle, Two Bullish Candles
*Please keep in mind that these candles/bars need to appear in the exact sequence that I’m describing regardless of their body or wick size.
*Bullish Candle Definition: Closing Price is Higher than or Equal to the Opening Price
*Bearish Candle Definition: Closing Price is Lower than or Equal to the Opening Price
*For conditions 2a,b,c: I should receive an immediate alert when one of the required conditions is met and the last BEARISH candle close on the chart (on any time frame)
*For conditions 2d,e,f: I should receive an immediate alert when one of the required conditions is met and the last BULLISH candle close on the chart (on any time frame)
I have attached some examples that highlight the exact candle patterns that I described above.
-I need all alerts to trigger even if the new alerts share a few candles with the previous alert.
3) Show on the chart an arrow pointing UP at the last candle that triggers a BULLISH alert.
Show on the chart an arrow pointing DOWN at the last candle that triggers a BEARISH alert
4) This indicator needs to be able to work in strategy tester and on any time frame.
