Expert Advisors: Fast Trading Panel - page 2

FAQ:

Better, functionality as well as ergonomics are integral parts of design. Overloaded functionality (and even poorly located) immediately confuses the overall impression, and will strain the trader at the moment of making a trading decision. This is a "quick trading" panel by purpose, i.e. decisions are made at the moment of making a trading decision. i.e. decisions are made almost on an intuitive level, and there should be a minimum of distracting factors. Beautiful design, of course, is a plus, but even if it will not be, and suppose the panel will be in standard grey colour, but with well thought-out ergonomics, and only the necessary functionality (plus additional features, suppose in separate submenus), then the impression and convenience of work will be completely different.

ZЫ. Please do not take to heart - this is just IMHO.

Thank you, this is a very worthy comment. If it were possible to rate comments, I would give it the highest score.

Thank you this gave me a kick up the arse. and I promptly downloaded my old panel, - decided that there really is no design. it needs work.

I worked on the design a bit and put this panel in the Market under FREE.

Why in the Market and not in CODBAZA - I don't want to expose open code. But even there the design does not impress me now.

Thanks.

Thank you to all who have appreciated this project.

If I may, a couple of remarks (based on my own experience)

1) The position volume slider is very conveniently located between the main buttons so that you can accidentally click on them and open an order without wanting to.

2) It is better to make the buttons for closing and reversal (you have them for all positions at once) two-stage (one half allows this action, the second half performs it and immediately prohibits it).

If I understand correctly, the purpose of the panel is for fast and convenient trading. A kind of manual "HFT".

But then two things are important for trading:

  1. Convenient and clear visualisation of the trading environment.
  2. Hotkeys for various kinds of trade orders.

Manual scalpers in the stock markets do exactly that. Some of them have hundreds of combinations of hotkeys.

And it is not the trading scripts that are of primary importance, but the visualisation of the trading environment itself.

For example, in the standard MT it is made very primitively. It is the design of the trading environment visualisation that we should think about.

And scripts for hotkeys for any task can be quickly created.

1. - I agree. I hadn't thought about this option.

2. Well, naturally for the aggregate position opened in the terminal.

I don't understand about (one half allows this action, the second half performs it and immediately prohibits it) ?

Vladon:

2. Of course for the total position opened in the terminal.

I don't understand about (one half allows this action, the other half performs it and immediately prohibits it) ?

The first half activates the mode of one-time permission to delete all orders, when clicking on the second (larger half) - orders are deleted and the button is deactivated.

FAQ:

The first half activates the single permission mode to delete all orders, clicking on the second (larger half) - orders are deleted and the button is deactivated.

what's the point?

it closes once and that's all, if there are no positions it will not close, I don't understand 2 points to be honest.

Reverse closes a position and opens the same one, Klose just closes a position.

This is for your consideration, imagine that several (many) windows (pairs) are opened, each has a panel, when opening new orders you can add and subtract from the total pose, and then accidentally hit the flip button, well, and do a big stupidity on the whole pose. In my variant it was paid by twenty (with three zeros). Since then I started to make two-stage buttons. But this is, I repeat, only IMHO.
