Discussion of article "Trademinator 3: Rise of the Trading Machines"

New article Trademinator 3: Rise of the Trading Machines is published:

In the article "Dr. Tradelove..." we created an Expert Advisor, which independently optimizes parameters of a pre-selected trading system. Moreover, we decided to create an Expert Advisor that can not only optimize parameters of one trading system underlying the EA, but also select the best one of several trading systems. Let's see what can come of it...

bool isNewBars()
  {
  ....
      tf==PERIOD_H8||
      tf==PERIOD_M12

Is it a typo? Instead of PERIOD_M12 in MustHave.mqh/ bool isNewBars(), it should be PERIOD_H12?

Exactly, typo.

Thanks.

It is clear that the article does not tell everything. The question is simple, is it worth digging in this direction, is there a stable forward TC, or not only a mirage.

In articles, as a rule, they show a scheme. Everyone should develop the TS himself and try to improve it through the described method. Who will post a ready-made system? It will be unfair to ourselves. :)

Try to screw different NS to the GA, take the NS from the previous article as a sample.

Nobody is asking for a ready system. I am asking if the authors managed to create a stable yes or no Expert Advisor using this technology. Is it enough to continue their own research in order to save time or is there a sense to dig in another direction.

I would also be interested in the opinion of anyone who is doing this. For myself, I made conclusions based on numerous tests (about 10000) manually. And to reduce the time I just did not wait until the end of the test, limiting 1 test to 5 minutes, and the strategy for the test was quite simple and despite this I got a positive result. So, I think this scheme is worth a try.
