Reverse Engineer with AI

If this topic is not allowed please delete it.
I am only asking purely for educational reasons. Not for intent.

It was the case that since 2016 there was not solid proof that MT5 ex5 cannot be converted to MQL5 .
In fact there were so many scam services offering that.
This is what I would also say to people who would ask me this.

Now with all the AI models is that still the case ?
Has anyone had any experience regarding this matter?

We have seen all the vulnerabilities discovered recently with the use  of AI in MAJOR companies (Sony PS5, Nintendo Switch  , PHP programming language) , so
I am curious if  MT5 is still intact.

Kind Regards.

An ex5 file is encrypted upon compiling, and MQL5 Cloud Protection (via Compile in MetaEditor) obfuscates the code even further.

Technically, anything can be hacked/data dumped if someone having advanced skills has an intense desire to hack but the effort, resources, and time required make it extremely unlikely. I'm talking about reality here─not ads that you saw on the internet.

IMHO, reverse engineering is actually different from hacking an executable file. Given the recent advancements in AI, any testable code's functioning can be tracked, and if it can be tracked, it can potentially be reverse engineered from scratch. I, and others here, have done this manually in the past.

An ex5 is NOT encrypted upon compiling.

Cloud Protector IS encrypting it.

Yes. It was never possible to convert EX5 to MQL5 (it was the case with EX4/MQL4 prior to 2014, if I remember well).

Any "offer" pretending otherwise is a scam.

Has anyone had any experience regarding this matter?

That being said, there a lot of ways to "hack" ex5. That's an other matter than "decompiling to MQL5".

Then what does compiling do?

8.2. Code Protection. With MetaTrader 5, you can enjoy a new high level of protection of executable files of MQL5 programs (ex5). Protection against decompilation has increased due to the following factors: new, more complicated encryption algorithms, file integrity checking (checking that the file has not been changed after compilation) and the greater complexity of the language. Programs that are sold through the Market service are additionally encrypted and bound to the user's hardware (computer configuration), which further protects them.

AI can assist with reverse engineering, but that does not automatically mean it can convert a protected EX5 into usable MQ5 source. Research demonstrating AI decompilation on specific binaries is not proof that MetaTrader’s protections have been defeated

There is also a distinction between recovering code from an EX5 and rebuilding an EA from its observed behaviour. Producing similar trades, even matching a backtest does not prove the original source was extracted

Vulnerabilities in Sony, Nintendo or PHP establish nothing about EX5 protection. That requires its own reproducible demonstration, identifying the build and protection involved, with the recovered program checked against the original

"Impossible forever" is an absolute nobody can guarantee. "AI can do it now" is a claim that still needs evidence. The standard should be proof, regardless of which side makes the claim

Yes this point is talking about the Cloud Protector.

Read the link I provided please, it explains there the difference between the encryption from Cloud protector and from the Market. Essentially : Cloud Protector ex5 is "linked" to MT5 Terminal, while Market ex5 is linked to a user's computer.

MetaQuotes doesn't disclosed details about these protections.

Thank you for clarifying.

I also read that base level compilation generates a non-machine readable binary file that is obfuscated but not encrypted. I had it backward, I guess.🤪
