Is There an Official API to Retrieve MT4/MT5 Broker and Server Lists in Bulk?

Hello everyone,

I am developing a broker information and lookup website that will help users search for forex brokers and identify their associated MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading servers.

I would like to know whether MetaQuotes provides an official API, public data feed, or another authorized method to retrieve broker and server information in bulk.

Specifically, I am interested in publicly available information such as:

  • Broker or company names

  • Available MT4/MT5 server names

  • Relationships between broker companies and their associated servers

Currently, this information can be viewed through the broker search functionality in the MT4/MT5 client, but checking brokers individually would be time-consuming for a directory website.

Could anyone point me to relevant official documentation, supported interfaces, or an appropriate contact at MetaQuotes for this type of inquiry?

I intend to use the information in accordance with MetaQuotes' terms and any applicable licensing requirements.

Thank you for your help.

As far as I know - there is not such an information sorry.

Thank you for your reply.

Just to clarify, I am not necessarily looking for a public database or a dedicated API. I would also be interested in whether there is any officially supported way to automate the broker search functionality in the MT5 desktop terminal and retrieve the server names displayed for each broker.

Is there any documentation or recommended approach for this?

Thank you again for your help.

No. - There is no official way to do it.

You are touching a sensitive topic here. Broker discussion itself is already prohibited on forum for various reasons. MQ is very eager to NOT favor any broker what so ever. They try to stay as neutral as possible.

This being said, there is such a list, its just not available to the public.

There is a public list containing 1226 brokers and 2020 MT5 servers.  I will not post links here. Use the search engines and you will find it.

This is not exactly true. There are many public lists with brokers and server names. And If you go to the official page of MetaTrader5 you will see there is a section "Find Broker". Just a few are listed there.  How these brokers are selected, and what it takes to have a broker listed there, we don't know.
