Can't log in to terminal

I changed my mql5 password and now i can't log in to my terminal anymore

Using the same username and new password i can log in to the mql5 website just fine , i only have this problem logging in my mql5 account on a MT5 terminal using the exact same login details

What do i need to do so i can log back in to my terminal? Please help

Please check whether you are trying to log in to your broker trading account or to MQL5.com.

NOTE-1: Your MQL5 website account and your trading account are two completely different accounts.

NOTE-2: Logging in to MQL5.com does not log you in to a broker account in MT5.

Yes i understand , this is not my broker account this is really my MQL5 account

I have been using the same MQL5 username for years , i only changed my password

try again later. it happens to me every now and then, only happens on weekends when broker server is down.

other times the issue was fixed after i deleted the terminal.ini file.

I can see that i have a connection to my broker

I just deleted the terminal.ini file and restarted the terminal , still no luck

At this point im just very frustrated , i hope someone from MQL5 reads this and could help me

You can write here on forum, so at least you are logged-in to your current MQL5 Profile.

Do you have more than 1 profiles?

Yes that is my problem , i can log in here on the website but not on my MT5 terminal , it keeps saying Login failed and i dont know why

I only have 1 MQL5 account

MQL5 website/profile and MT5 account - are different things (respectively different logins).

I know that , i have set my new password on the MQL5 website

When you click Forgot login / password on the terminal it redirects you to here , i changed my password here so the new password should of course work on the terminal but it does not

In that case, please contact Service Desk, as forum members cannot access account information, verify credentials or diagnose login issues related to MQ accounts.

same thing happened last month. several users reported same issue. but then a few days later few of them reported that they received their emails 2 - 3 days later.
