I'm running macOS Catalina 10.15.8 on an Intel MacBook Pro (Mid-2012). The official MT5 installer completes successfully, but MT5 won't launch. Wine reports Symbol not found: _pthread_cpu_number_np, and says ntdll.sowas built for Mac OS X 11.0. Is there a Catalina-compatible installer?

Hello, I use a MacBook Pro Mid-2012 running macOS Catalina 10.15.8. I installed the official MetaTrader 5 Mac installer, but the application won't open. Error: `Symbol not found: _pthread_cpu_number_np` The error says `ntdll.so` was built for Mac OS X 11.0. Is there a version compatible with Catalina 10.15.8? Thank you.
Many users, myself included, have found running MT5 on macOS to be tricky, due to compatibility issues. One solution that works well is using Windows via Parallels Desktop on your Mac. This setup tends to be stable, allowing you to focus on your trading strategy without worrying about crashes, critical issues or other technical headaches.

A bit of "neuro-generation" from Argon. In Catalina, it’s a "bingo" of several of the points mentioned.
Parallels isn’t a universal solution either; in older versions, the Terminal wouldn’t launch, though it does work in newer ones. In any case, try Parallels or VMware Fusion.
