Dear MetaQuotes Team,
I am an active algorithmic trader and indicator developer using MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5. I am writing to request that Renko charts be added as a default, built-in chart type on both platforms. Maybe you can replicate tradingview for this!
At present, traders have to rely on custom symbols, offline charts or third-party EAs to view Renko. These workarounds have several limitations:
- The Renko symbol cannot be traded directly, so orders must be placed on a separate chart
- The chart stops updating if the builder EA is removed or the terminal restarts
- Brick timestamps have to be artificially spaced, which affects time-based indicators
- Strategy Tester support for Renko-based strategies is limited and inconsistent
A native Renko chart type would make a big difference. Ideally it would include:
1. Box size in points, price or ATR
2. Configurable reversal (1-brick or classic 2-brick)
3. Optional wicks
4. Building from real tick history
5. Full support for indicators, EAs, one-click trading and the Strategy Tester
Renko is one of the most widely used chart types among price-action and trend traders, and many competing platforms already offer it natively. Adding it to MT4/MT5 would be valuable for a large part of your user base.
Thank you for considering this request. I would be happy to share feedback or help test the feature.

The user is experiencing issues with the latest MetaTrader 5 update, including the 'terminal64 entry point not found' error and inability to open the platform or MetaEditor. They have tried various solutions like adding files to antivirus exceptions, reinstalling Visual C++ redistributables, and reinstalling MT5, but the problem persists. They are seeking further assistance and recommendations.
