Feature Request: Built-in Multi-Account Trade Copier for MT5 (Especially Mobile)

Hello MetaQuotes Team and MQL5 Community,

I would like to suggest a feature that could make MetaTrader 5 much more convenient for traders who manage multiple trading accounts.

The Current Problem

Many traders use multiple MT5 accounts and want to execute the same trades across all of them.

Currently, if a trader has several accounts logged in to MT5, they generally need to switch between accounts and manually place the same trades in each one.

This creates several problems:

  • Time-consuming process: Switching between multiple accounts and placing the same trade repeatedly takes time.

  • Execution delays: Trades cannot be placed at exactly the same time manually, which can lead to different entry prices.

  • Human errors: Traders may accidentally enter the wrong lot size, forget an account, or place a Buy instead of a Sell.

  • Difficult account management: Managing several accounts simultaneously becomes inconvenient, especially when trading fast-moving instruments such as gold (XAUUSD).

  • Mobile limitations: Mobile traders who want to copy trades across multiple accounts have limited native options and may need external applications or additional infrastructure.

Proposed Solution: Native Multi-Account Trade Copier

What if MetaTrader 5 had a built-in Trade Copier feature that allowed traders to select one Master account and multiple Slave accounts?

The feature could work as follows:

1. Master and Slave Account Selection

  • Select one account as the Master.

  • Select multiple other logged-in accounts as Slaves.

  • Automatically copy trades from the Master account to all enabled Slave accounts.

  • Enable or disable individual Slave accounts whenever required.

2. Flexible Lot Size Settings

Different accounts have different balances and risk requirements. The copier should support:

  • Fixed lot size.

  • Lot multiplier.

  • Percentage-based lot calculation.

  • Balance-based lot calculation.

  • Equity-based lot calculation.

  • Risk-based lot calculation using stop-loss distance and account equity.

Users should be able to configure different lot settings for each Slave account.

3. Automatic Trade Synchronization

When a trader opens a position on the Master account, the system should automatically place the corresponding trade on the selected Slave accounts.

It would also be useful to support:

  • Buy and Sell orders.

  • Pending orders.

  • Stop Loss and Take Profit synchronization.

  • Modifying existing positions.

  • Partial closures.

  • Automatic trade closures.

4. Centralized Dashboard

A dedicated Trade Copier section could display:

  • All connected accounts.

  • Master and Slave account status.

  • Active copying status.

  • Current copied positions.

  • Account-specific lot settings.

  • Failed or rejected orders.

  • Synchronization and execution errors.

A simple Start/Stop control and an Emergency Stop option would also be useful.

How This Feature Could Help MT5 Users

A native Multi-Account Trade Copier could provide several benefits:

  • Save time by eliminating repetitive manual trade entry.

  • Reduce human errors when managing multiple accounts.

  • Help traders execute the same strategy across multiple accounts more consistently.

  • Improve the mobile trading experience.

  • Make managing several accounts easier from one interface.

  • Reduce the need for third-party copying tools for supported use cases.

This could be especially helpful for traders who manage personal accounts, separate trading portfolios, or multiple accounts with different balances.

Mobile Implementation

I believe this feature would be particularly valuable in the MT5 Android and iOS applications.

Traders should ideally be able to log in to multiple accounts, select a Master account, configure Slave accounts, and copy trades directly from their mobile devices.

If running the copier entirely on the device is technically challenging, MetaQuotes could explore a reliable alternative that supports background operation and handles network interruptions and execution failures safely.

Of course, account security, broker restrictions, duplicate-order prevention, and differences in trade execution would need to be considered.

Community Feedback

I would like to know what other traders think about this idea.

Would a built-in Multi-Account Trade Copier be useful to you?

Do you currently switch between multiple accounts and manually place the same trades, or do you use third-party copying software?

I believe this feature could solve a real problem for many MT5 users and make the platform more convenient, particularly for mobile traders.

I hope the MetaQuotes development team will consider this suggestion for a future version of MetaTrader 5.

Thank you for your time.

[D]o you use third-party copying software?

Yes. Check the CodeBase and/or the Market for copiers.

IMHO, if Metaquotes implemented every "new feature" requested, MT5 would become an unwieldy albatross. This is the whole point of supporting custom code─wherein the sky is the limit.

I understand that third-party trade copiers already exist, but I believe the main issue is accessibility. Not every trader is technically experienced enough to install and configure Expert Advisors, connect multiple terminals, set up VPS services, or troubleshoot external software. For many ordinary traders, these solutions can be too complicated.

Also, a large number of MT5 users primarily trade on their smartphones. They want a simple experience without needing a PC, VPS, or additional software.

Imagine having a built-in feature where users can select one Master account, add multiple Slave accounts, choose their preferred lot calculation method, and start copying trades with just a few taps.

This would make multi-account trading much easier and more accessible, especially for mobile users who currently have no simple native solution.

I am not suggesting that MT5 should add every requested feature. I am suggesting an optional feature that solves a common problem for users who need it.

Existing trade copiers show that the functionality is useful. A simple, integrated mobile solution could make it accessible to many more traders.

The question is not whether trade copiers already exist, but whether they are simple and convenient enough for everyday mobile users.

I think MT5 should expand its customization options for mobile users (indicator, expert custom...) to match what’s available on desktop. Otherwise, TradingView and cTrader could soon overtake MT5.

They will not. Nobody will read such request, uselessly verbose AI generated.

Anyway, people want to be free to post anything, let's them post. Who cares about the readers.

I completely agree. MT5 mobile needs more advanced features like desktop. A built-in Trade Copier would make managing multiple accounts much easier, especially for traders who primarily use their phones and don't want complicated third-party software or VPS setups. Improving mobile customization would make MT5 much more powerful and user-friendly.

Thanks for your feedback. I understand your point about keeping feature requests concise. My intention was simply to highlight a real usability issue for mobile traders managing multiple accounts. I appreciate the feedback and will keep it in mind.

Try to put yourself in the shoes of the developers (or even moderators which can be intermediaries with MetaQuotes). You can be sure 100% nobody will read such post (and it's not about you or your specific demand, they are plenty of similar posts nowadays).

MetaQuotes is developing software for the masses. It's also a business company. They have their own priorities and views about theirs applications. And additionally, when talking about MT5 (desktop or mobile), it's a free application, with it's own business model.

If you want some new feature which would only benefit you (or a very small number of people) : forget it.

If you want something that could be beneficial to a lot of people, and so potentially to MQ, prove it.

Most people are focused on their own needs "wow I really would like this", fine, but if you need someone else to meet your needs, you need to be really convincing. A long and flat, obviously generated AI message is and will become less read. Already when I open a topic or post and I see the pattern, there is 90% change I will not read all, I read some words to see what it is about, if it doesn't seem interesting to me, done.
