MQL5 Storage: your code is always by your side! - page 2

Sergey Golubev #:

Yes, as newdigital.
Browser is Firefox 93.0 (64 bit).
Chrome works too.

But I opened MetaEditor first (just to check the storage in general), and after that - I used browser (it is important or not - no idea sorry).

I can connect with MetaEditor without problem (with same credentials of course), but I need it to work with the URL as I want to use an external software.

Thanks for your help, I reported it to Rashid, I hope he will answer.

Hello how are you?

Do you know anything about this problem?

I can not log in to the storage from the web, ¿It can not be anymore?

Note: From the Metaeditor, all ok, without problems

It works fine from MetaEditor but from their webpage it is usually extremely slow and many times it just does not connect at all.

It has been like this for may years and MetaQuotes has yet to fix it.

login process takes long time (about 1 or 2 minutes)

For anyone wanting to skip the long wait time: once you log in, bookmark the URL (ex: https://storage.mql5.io/!/#MQL4.<your_user_name_here>) and just use that; it's instantaneous.

If you're like me and don't feel like bookmarking it, just search for it in your address bar history by typing "storage.mql5"

Thanks! That actually worked wonderfully quick. And if you have not logged on, it asks for credentials and connects quickly too.

I would like to add the MQL5 link here too (I have not made them links on purpose, so that you should copy them and change them according to your username):

  • https://storage.mql5.io/!/#MQL5.username

EDIT: Unfortunately I spoke too soon with my enthusiasm. This method does not give access to the parent folder to get access to the Shared Projects and other folders.

EDIT2: And clicking on the "Home" button takes just as long for it to show the parent folder, so it does not actually solve much.

That's a brilliant tip - thanks for sharing!

For most users, it solves the problem. Not everyone uses Shared Projects. It's better to stay quiet than to voice your ungratefulness.

      No problem!

I was not ungrateful nor was I rude and even thanked you, but then explained that it does not solve the problem entirely and explained the reason.

However, I do see now that I crossed out my "Thanks" and that was not intentional. My apologies if it came off that way. I will fix that.
