I hope this issue can draw your attention, because it's not just my fault, it's the feedback from all Chinese users. If everyone can't update or download EA, then you will lose the entire Chinese customer base in the future!

If I may, I'll share my opinion (although I'm a moderator, I do not represent MetaQuotes officially).

Based on the codes you posted (10054 WSA), this does not look like a terminal issue but rather network interruptions on your side. MT5 tries to establish the connection and reports that the socket is being reset during the TLS handshake.

This type of error is quite common when connecting from China, due to traffic filtering policies and the way some providers and network infrastructure handle external connections there.

I understand that other users in your country may experience the same. It's a result of how external routing and service access are managed from within China, and that directly affects communications with MetaQuotes services.

MetaQuotes may look into workarounds or alternatives, and they might even provide something, but it's not simple and not fully under their control, because the restrictions originate on the network side in your country.

So in my view, it would be more an additional goodwill effort rather than a technical obligation.

I found same issue reported on Russian forum (for external VPS and for computer).

  • First case: the user installed too many Metatrader instances on VPS so the memory was not enough to run all of them in the same time.
  • Second case (the other user): something with his Windows - he installed many software/programs, and all of them are connected to the internet (decision: the computer/OS should be clean manually or by some specialized cleaning programs).
  • The 3rd user had this issue but it was fixed by itself after he restarted his computer many times.

So, it may be something with your computer related to the software/programs you are using (too many Metatrader instances installed for example, or any other reasons).

In China, it is still not possible to directly access MQL's website, and the MT5 terminal is still unable to connect to the market, download EA, and update EA. We hope MQL can solve this problem as soon as possible!
