Best Alerte from MT5 terminal: Android Notification OR Email OR ....

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.

I am currently setting up notifications from the MetaTrader 5 software on my VPS for long-term trading.

What do you consider to be the best alert systems to ensure that you don't miss any alerts?

1) There are push notifications on the MT5 app on Android.

2) Create a dedicated email account for alerts and use an email management app just for that account, then enable notifications.

3) Perhaps a system where I receive a text message on my mobile phone?

The best for what? I'd suggest you first formulate your requirements/expectations, and then choose the option that best meets them.

[edit] "I want good notifications" is a road to nowhere. Formulate your own requirements: what information, about what events, and in what form you want to receive it.

  • SendNotification works great and fast.
  • SendMail should work too, but I haven't tested it since I'm not a fan of emails in general.

The two methods mentioned above are the easiest to code and configure.

If you want to send images (or if it's simply more familiar/convenient for you), you might consider sending messages to Telegram or Discord. It's more complicated, but by the way, there are articles here about both sending messages to Telegram and sending messages to Discord.

I think if you really want to, you can even send a fax. But it's unlikely that anyone has written an article on this topic; you would have to do your own research.

tks you @Vladislav Boyko,

For example, for push notifications sent by MT5 from my PC to my Android phone, the problem is that I can only see the notifications when the Android app is running.

even though I have given the MT5 Android app all possible permissions, including background functionality and all possible battery management permissions, I still only receive notifications when the app is running.

Maybe with the Telegram app this problem will be solved, I don't know.

Try again in a few days (or maybe a couple of weeks). This may be a temporary issue on Google's side.

I also encountered this problem and I was told that there were similar complaints once before, but then everything corrected itself after a few days. That's exactly what happened in my case, too—the problem went away on its own after a few days.
