MT5 Since 5200 Strategy Tester is not updating different timeframe charts

Hi all,

since the update to 5200 (and now with 5227) the strategy tester is not updating the charts if i switch between different timeframes.

My expert uses 3 different timeframes - 3 indicators with separated times.

After this 5220 update in the bottom of the tester chart three tabs are displayed (Daily, M30, M5). But if i select another tab, the chart is not updating - the tabs are switching, but not the content of the chart.

If i switch during the expert is running/testing, the chart switching is correct. But if the expert is finished, no chart update can be triggered. So i cannot analyze the expert logic and actions.

Is this a known bug? I didn't found the issue here in the forum.

Yes, several bugs have been reported with build 5200 and subsequent beta builds, including issues with the multi-time-frame windows in the Strategy Tester.

You can read user posts about it on the thread about that build ...

    So, next time, please search before posting, and then post in the relevant topic about it, such as the aforementioned topic.

    Also, you will find more details about the issue on the equivalent Russian thread, but if you post there, please post in Russian and not in English.

     

    Thank you. But to make it clear - i had searched the forum before i posted the issue. But i searched for things like "tester chart switching timeframe problem" (and variants) and not for "cycle". So i hadn't found the post. But now i know, that all issues are collected in the 5200 Thread. Thanks.

    One question:

    Is there a place, where the developers are answering or where the issues are collected and rated? So we can see, if there will come a patch and on which version it is planned.

    Or are the developers only reading the threads and we have to hope, that the issue is fixed in one of the next versions?

    Unfortunately, MetaQuotes does not have any kind of public system for organised bug tracking, rating and subsequent resolution plans. Instead, users post on the topic of the most recent official release and hope that the developers pay attention to their issues.

    The topics on the Russian forum are usually the ones most watched by developers and the administration, but there is no assurances that the issues will be addressed.

    When a new official release is prepared, MetaQuotes posts a new topic to announce it, with a list of new features, updates and bug fixes, similar to the one for the 5200 release mentioned above.

    With Version 5.00 Build 5245 this issue is fixed. Switching between the display tabs is working now as expected.

    This build is currently in a beta state. But so we know, that the fix comes to next release. I am working now with this beta version.

     
    Today V 5 build 5260 is released. Here is the issue fixed, too.
