Is there Going To Be An Update For Object Drawing Tools in MT5 Backtesting.
I don't understand Fernando, I placed this question in General, why was it moved to Off-topic posts?
In general my question is about MT5 Backtester, is it wrong to ask about it?
Or, Do you have the answer I need? Can you answer my question since your a Moderator, you should know more than most.
Will these Object Tools be in the next update? (Image attached).
The reason I ask about this is because I need them to backtest my trading strategy, at present I can't mark area's in backtesting (the previous days trading) where I have made mistakes in trading.

As for your issue, it is considered as a "non issue" because it has been the case for years and years and years, and coders create workarounds such as making the ea to remember the data points that you speak of. This can be done various ways. All are discussed on many threads on this forum.

Hi Michael, thanks for your reply, but my question was not about backtesting an EA, My question was about me backtesting my manual trading from the previous days trading.
When backtesting the previous days trading via MQL5, and with my trading setup saved on a template (so I can review and mark where I made mistakes in analysis using backtesting) I cannot use the Backtesting Object Tools (like in MT4). This is why I was asking if there will be an update for MT5 which will include the Backtester Object Tools.

Thanks for reiterating your question, but my response is the same.
You can already do what you ask, just coded differently for use in strategy tester. Search codebase and the "marketplace". There are many eas that are already used for the scenario you are asking about, but they are specially coded for use in the "backtester"/strategy tester.
This coding differently for live charts and strategy tester have always been the "crux" of metatrader, and has always been argued about, even by several moderators in the past. But we live with what we got. The Metaquotes developer team do not care much about the enduser; only the brokers.

A moderator is not a developer nor an employee of MetaQuotes. We are normal users like you. We have no idea what MetaQuotes plans to do about it.
However, given that this was requested by many, many users before, since the inception of MetaTrader 5 many years ago, I doubt that MetaQuotes will ever implement it.

Ahhh Ok Fernando, thank you for the updated reply, I finally understand now and need to search for an EA or Script that allows me to use Object Tools in Strategy Tester.
