Do you know a skilled programmer?

I am looking for recommendations for a good and skilled programmer to modify my MT4 EA for me.
I have the source code, which is a bit complex.
I tried engaging a freelance programmer here but he failed woefully.
If you have used the expertise of a good programmer, or you know of one, kindly recommend him to me.
Upon your recommendation, I will engage him through MQL5.
Thank you in anticipation.

Such recommendations are not allowed in the forum, post your requirements as a job in the Freelance section and you can choose the applicant that seems well enough for you.

Thank you, Eleni, for your advice.
As I said in my post, I had once employed the services of a programmer in the Freelance section. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out well.
This was so because, in my opinion, Freelance programmers are selected from among a number of applicants, whose expertise one would hardly know.
If I receive any recommendations here, I would go under Freelance and specify the recommended programmer as my choice. That way, I would have been sure to get the best from a good programmer.
I hope it makes sense.
Thank you, anyway.

If you choose a developer with high rating and many completed orders, I doubt that you will have such issues.

Most users are experiencing problems with Freelance jobs because they choose economy over quality.

If I were you I would choose a developer with 4.8 or 4.9 rating and some hundreds or thousands completed jobs, even if he/she is more expensive than other applicants.

Arbitration statistics are important too.

Being new here, I take your kind advice seriously.
For me, I treat my project as though my life depended on it. For this reason, I wouldn't want money to stand in my way to employing the programmer with the right expertise to work for me.

Since it is I who would state my budget, rather than the programmer his charge, how would I know if my budget is enough to attract a good programmer?
How much would attract the best programmer, Eleni?

  • If you bought the product from your friend or from your relative or from very active users on this forum so you can fix anything related with the sellers who are responsible about what they are seller (and because you both know each other for the long time).
  • But if you bought something from "anyone" just because of have a lot of money so - sorry: it is your risk, and this risk can not be turned to anyone else.

There is one rule which some people follow:
subscribe to the signal or create an order in Freelance or purchase the product from the user/seller/coder/provider you know in person or you know by activity on the forum.

Because if you purchased something so I may ask:
"Do you know the seller in person, or you are familiar with him on this forum?"
If you say: "Not" so it will be very strange case for me ...

Just my optinion.

----------------

There are a lot of professional and honest users/coders on the forum, and some of them are very active on this forum helping to the other people and replying on the forum posts/requests.

Always choose the person you know in this forum (who is very active here), and you will have less problems with anything.

Just my opinion sorry.

If you don't see a really good developer among your applicants, that means that your budget is low.

If all your applicants are low rated and with a few completed jobs, that means that you attracted only the 'amateurs'.

Thank you so much.
I will do better next time.
By the way, if I don't see a good developer among my applicants, can I delete the job and post a new one with a revised budget?

The best is to revise your budget and wait for a couple of days, but you can also re-post your job.
