MT5 not working on ARM snapdragon processor
The MetaTrader desktop application is not designed for the ARM architecture. It is a x64 application and makes use of AVX (and others) where possible.
So on Windows for ARM, it has to run in a emulated environment which will be slower and can lead to complications.
Given that so few people use it on ARM, there are probably issues of which not even MetaQuotes are aware.
- What version of terminal and Windows version do you have?
- If this is Windows 24h2, are all updates installed?
Try adding an account on Metaquotes-Demo to the terminal and update the terminal to build 4778 or install the terminal from the installer from metatrader5.com.

Hi, the app was working fine up to the middle/end November on ARM architecture. There was an update around end of November to the app which I did do and after that the app stopped working. It is opening and loging me in but as soon as I want to see any chart it crashes, closes and will not open again.
I tried to email MetaQuotes about it but never received reply.

Hi, I just downloaded the latest build 4778 of Metratrader 5 and unfortunately the same thing happens.Windows had all updates done and I am on Windows 11 Home.

Hi all,
I have recently purchased laptop with Snapdragon X Elite processor and I am having issues with the MT5 app crashing on it. I have been using the app with no issues till late November and then after an update the app is not working properly.
I am able to download it, log in to my trading account as well as see some graphs, however, as soon as I try to open another graph the app crashes and I am unable to open the app again. Uninstalled it multiple times, and downloaded it again, checked for updates and unfortunately nothing.
I also have older laptop with Intel on it and the app works with no issues.
