How to protect my EA through a license key?

How can I implement logic in my EA that it may work on demo accounts but not on live accounts without a license key?

By checking the account trade mode ...

ACCOUNT_TRADE_MODE

Account trade mode

ENUM_ACCOUNT_TRADE_MODE

There are several types of accounts that can be opened on a trade server. The type of account on which an MQL5 program is running can be found out using the ENUM_ACCOUNT_TRADE_MODE enumeration.

ENUM_ACCOUNT_TRADE_MODE

Identifier

Description

ACCOUNT_TRADE_MODE_DEMO

Demo account

ACCOUNT_TRADE_MODE_CONTEST

Contest account

ACCOUNT_TRADE_MODE_REAL

Real account

Here is a sample of my own code that I use, but it is up to you to implement properly. I'm not offering any support on it. It is up to you to do the necessary research and learning.
