My main mql5 account I seem to be locked out of now with no way of getting back in.
I was using my phone for OTP passcodes for unknown IP addresses. This I setup in my account security page, in mql5.com on the browser. I've lost my phone that was setup to receive OTP codes, and so now I cannot login to mql5 to change that code or do anything at all.
I thought I could reset my password but that has not make any changes to OTP and still requires it to login.
Lastly, I thought I could contact MQL5 customer support, but I cannot seem to find ANY form of contact except for the useless AI chatbot at their service desk. No email, no chat with a human, how are we supposed to resolve things like this?
Does anyone have any advice?
That’s going to be tough. If you saved backup codes when setting up OTP, they could help you log in. Check any emails or documents where you might have stored them.
Yeah the situation I've found myself in is kind of insane. How does metaquotes not have a way to just contact support?
I did manage to trick the AI chatbot into submitting a support ticket which I can see on this temporary account in my settings... So I added additional context and explained my actual issue and hopefully that can end in resolution. scary that there is not a way to reset this, if I get the account back I am definitely not using this format OTP anymore.. too dangerous.
I didn't find any backup codes and don't remember metaquotes offering any when I turned the feature on. maybe I missed it.
