Indicators disappear after windows update.

Hi,

Wheneve my windows update, it deletes my paid mql5 indicator and in order to put it back it is using my activation.

I have already ran out of 5 activations. is there any solution to this problem? I already try to restore market folder before update but no luck?

Any suggestion?

 

The activation is per hardware and per software version.
Besides, some major update is acting as a new OS/version so the activation may be lost because of that.

My example: I lost all 5 activations for two products, and for now I know the following: I will select the products with many activations to buy
(more than 5 just for sure). because the seller is able to establish the number of activations in the beginning, and if it is 5 only so sorry - I will not buy it from him.

AFAIK, you can ask product author to increase number of activations for already published product, and it will be reflected in the user's market account (all users, actually) and make possible additional activations. Of course the author may agree or not, but asking worths nothing.

As far as I understand - it is impossible to increase the number of activations for already installed product.
But new buyers will be able to get the product with more than 5 activations for example.
 

From the Market rules:

  • The Buyer purchases the right to activate a Product as many times as specified by the Seller at the moment of purchasing or renting this Product. For example, if a Product allows 10 activations at the moment of its purchase, the Buyers can install it on 10 different hardware + OS configurations even if the Seller will decrease this number afterwards.

It's strange. Some time ago it worked otherwise: already existed customers asked me to enlarge number of activations and if I did they got additional copies.

Are you running regular Windows or Insider builds? I found that updating insider builds often knocked MT5 activations.

Same here. two of latest purchases have gone down to zero. Seller is passing the buck to mql and mql is on automated chatbot.

Spoke to author and he mentioned I have to buy again or go 2 mql5.

Are you running regular Windows or Insider builds? I found that updating insider builds often knocked MT5 activations.

Official windows 10 pro. And it was and official upgrade by microsoft today due to some driver issues.
