What is the difference between the demo accounts and a real live account? Besides being able to trade I mean. Are the servers you can connect to any faster or have a higher uptime? I notice the demo server periodically disconnects me for a few seconds and then reconnects me. Could that just be my connection or the demo server being too busy? Thanks

Most probably the reason is demo-server restarting.
 
Demo account and Real account are both having trouble with the client being disconnected time to time, now, the difference will be with the service provided, some broker provide good service and good uptime, some not.....
