Bulls/Bears Indictaors

Can someone from Meta Quotes tell me, if the Bulls MT4 indicator, works on buy ticks, and the Bears MT4 indicator works on sell ticks, or is there some other calculations thrown in ??

I am not a programmer as such, but It looks like thats how these two indicators are set up. I was also wondering if its at all possible to modify, the Bulls & the Bears indicators, to show how many sell & buy ticks are coming in to the platform, per bar ??

Sorry, MetaTrader 4 history is based on bars only without internal ticks information.
 
So what is the Bulls/Bears based on, Volume ??
