Updating MT5

I am running on Apple's M2 Machine. The auto updater seems to not work whenever I agree to update. Clicking to Help -> Check for updates -> Latest Release Version and Beta Version both will not do anything. The only way to actually update MT5 build is if I uninstalled it and reinstall it fresh again. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
 
  • If my MT5 is connected to the trading account (demo or real) so MT5 is updated when the broker decided for MT5 to be updated. Because the brokers always want to update MT5 for us to the latest but stable build.
  • If my MT5 is connected to MetaQuotes-Demo account so my MT5 is automatically uopdated to the latest beta build. But as I am not testing beta builds of Metatrader so I prefer for my MT5 to be on the latest but stable build.

So, it depeneds on where your MT5 is connected to (which broker's server).
