"ping failed" / "connect failed" errors

After starting the latest version of MT4 terminal on a demo account, the terminal periodically disconnects and then automatically reconnects within a few seconds and at other times the terminal journal records a "ping failed" error, followed by automatic login. At other times the journal records "login..." when the terminal is already logged in. An example of these errors is copied from the MT4 journal log below.

My computer that runs the MT4 client terminal has a stable, high speed connection to the internet. These errors occur while the computer is connected to the internet. I have switched between belkin and netgear routers and the errors occur on both. I have also reinstalled the MT4 client terminal and the errors still occur.

Does anyone know what can be done to eliminate these errors? Thank you for any help.

Please provide us with information about what server (broker) you connect to.

I have seen this with MT4 demo accounts of various brokers. According to the logs, most often with Alpari (which used to have a very reliable feed in the MT 3.8x days), but also with InterbankFX, MIG, and Neuimex. Occassionally this is due to problems on my side, but often it is only with one broker, while the others are still connected. Unfortunately, some brokers have a tendency to deny that there are any problems on their side even if feedback from users proves otherwise. This attitude hampers improvements in reliability that could be made otherwise and eventually reflects negatively on the MQL4 product.

The connection problem I described in the previous post has been fixed. Apparently it was a problem with my internet service provider. The Meta Trader terminal works great now!
