Let's discuss joint projects in the editor - why and where they are going - page 5

Renat Fatkhullin:
Yes. Conceptually, yes.

They gave so much shit about intellisense that until the last studio they stored intellisense data in a microsoft access database.

That's where the brakes are coming from.

VS2017 didn't go far either, changing the storage to Sqlite.

Interesting, didn't know that. Then I'll ask, what is used in MQ for intelligences in C++, it's not a secret, is it?

An order of magnitude more productive solutions of their own.

In metaeditor, that's what we're talking about.

fxsaber:

The likelihood of more complex projects will definitely increase.

Of course it will. But probably not immediately. Gradually, things will develop. Joint projects lead to this.

The main thing is for people to learn to look into the future, to find and occupy new niches in it. To ignite ideas for large-scale projects and implement them at a highly professional level.

Even a few such large-scale projects can boost the MT5 market.

But I have a feeling that most people are still blind to what's to come. Unfortunately.

There are niches that mql-developers can start occupying now.

There seem to be so many specialists around, but almost no one creates anything global. There are only different levels of crafts.

As an example of sluggishness of thought: Recently a global graphics library project was completed. Time has passed, and there is nothing fundamentally new on the market. But how many new applications could have been created using this library!

Where is it all?

Is it laziness? Lack of imagination?

Wow, MT5 is being developed in MetaEditor )) Patriotic, import substitution, though )

I'm in the mood to discuss MetaEditor and its functionality. I am not interested in offtops.

If we have chosen the direction of work, then we will implement it.

OK, there's a long-standing non-offtop question. Rather, it relates to the firm's general policy of denying the use of off-the-shelf solutions.

I listened to a podcast yesterday with Elbrus compiler optimizer developers, so at least their compiler frontend is based on GNU, and they already optimize the backend for VLIW, but they don't write a bicycle from scratch either. As we all know, Elbrus is first and foremost a prod for the defence industry, which means everything is serious. They are even just looking at the trendy LLVM for now, as they are afraid of destroying the achieved optimization.

Why doesn't MQ use open source solutions, at least for the same editor? I'll just say nothing about the compiler...

Can't really relate to the editor, now that there are team projects, will there be a task tracker? What will be in terms of organising teamwork, task setting, code review?

)))))))))))))) was that a joke of humour? Let's get a bugzilla in the meta-editor ))

Let's discuss collaborative projects in the editor - what they are for and where they are going <br / translate="no">

I personally don't need them at all, I will never use them. This is the development of the terminal, not the terminal, the MT5 terminal itself hasn't had anything new for a long time. Proprietary tools to be considered new for a trading terminal in 2017? ... hmmm...
