Those who have been in the business for a long time are probably aware of the myth (or fact) that 99% of forex traders lose their money.
I suddenly wondered. But is it real to earn anything?
I mean direct trading.
Why this topic. The point is. I've been in this field for probably 10 years. I don't hide it, sometimes I earn. But not by trading. I make money by programming, as I'm sure many of you probably do.
There are known facts and people who successfully and extensively earn money by means of fraud. This includes selling grails, all sorts of super-duper courses, etc.
It is also known about people engaged in PAMM (i.e., as owners of PAMM-accounts), showing super-profitable trading on short time intervals and actively collecting money from the "suckers". But I consider this way of earning money to be a "fraud".
Maintaining dealerships (kitchens) also borders on fraud. But this is a separate subject. Let's keep silent about advertising and earnings on forex sites thanks to views and downloads ... a separate song and a separate business
So, are there any people who have earned something over a long period of time? Just trading??? Claims "I've earned 100500 million dollars, because I invented the grail" - are equated with schoolboys and ignored...
I'll give you my experience right away: I used to earn by trading for a short period of time. There were even rises up to 50 thousand greenbacks. However, after a while it all went down as well. And if you sum up my total balance for all these years, although it's very difficult - I may be in zeros, or, more likely, in losses...
My opinion - Forex is roulette. My opinion - Forex is a roulette wheel. The masters (insiders) earn money and make money thanks to suckers - so-called homebrew traders. Well, people who develop software for this roulette also earn (honestly earn)...
I think each member of the forum is obliged to contribute to the unraveling of the Forex phenomenon on this very urgent problem and, perhaps, will prevent many newcomers from easy money-making temptation. I will try to bring my observations, market research results, little experience trading in real accounts and thoughts in the form of talking points, which I myself, personally, convinced, but do not necessarily follow their opponents, do not want to challenge them, someone change their minds in the opposite, and who does not agree - can stick to their opinions:
1. If you do not agree, you cannot have a stable income, using the experience accumulated by a generation of traders, including methods of TA, FA, all sorts of indicators, etc;
2. 2. I did not manage to discover any significant regularity on TFs smaller than D1;
3. theoretically proved that trading on the Forex market is organized around two levels of break-even (losslessness) and the transition from one level to the next is carried out through the third, global, break-even level (more details in the "Market Theory" thread on the 5-th page);
4. The Forex market is not originally designed to make a profit, and only covers the inevitable costs of participants and intermediaries in a transaction;
5. You can make a profit in the long term, if you use global economic regularities, like economic cycles. I was able to get a stat advantage in the tester, while analyzing the last 274 daily bars during 2000 - 2015 using the well-known universal model (18);
6. In the market is really present, invisible to no one, the market price flow, which is tightly bound to the current price flow, and to each tick of the current price corresponds a tick of the market price and it is possible that they can be manipulated, unnoticed, because, I repeat, they are invisible, and the nature of their formation I have not yet fully revealed, but I am thinking hard in that direction;
7. I managed to reach profitable trading using specified virtual (invisible) market prices, but, again, on TF D1;
... so far, 5K. But I lost it! So why open PAMMs, invite investors, trade signals?! Is it a matter of conscience?! Or is it not so offensive to merge together? And not ashamed?! And you call yourself a scientist!

How much money for the book? Number of pages? Circulation? Cover art? Who will sell it? Where will they sell? Who will buy? Will there be a demand? ....................................................................................
Preliminary and tentative for the release of a signal version to gauge demand: How much money would you need for the book? - About $1 million, including design, editing and other costs; Number of pages? - about 100; Circulation? - 100,000 with an eye towards a million; Cover? - Hard cover; a designer should work on it; Who will sell? - Sponsor who will have the exclusive right to sell, i.e. the sponsor who will be chosen from the list of interested parties in this advertisement; Where will they sell? - Major bookstores, by mail order and online with a strong advertising campaign; Who will buy? - Traders, students of Economics, employees of banks, funds, economists, marketing specialists, managers; Will there be a demand? - The demand will be explosive, because the similar book covering the theory and, if possible, the practice of trading on the common market for goods and services, macro-markets such as Forex, FORTS, stock and securities markets, currency and company indices has not yet been published; Cost? - $100, signed and endorsed by the author. Other, reprinted editions may be cheaper due to increased print runs and translations into other languages; The right to publish and distribute? - The right to publish and distribute worldwide will belong to the sponsor of our choice and it's up to him whether or not to include anyone; Translation into other languages of the world? - This will be arranged by the sponsor after evaluating the possible need; Expected profit? - 10 to 100 million dollars; Profit sharing? - 50/50. There should also be the possibility of producing an electronic version of the book, with a set of safeguards against reprinting and/or uncontrolled copying. A series of video tutorials is planned, with distribution in the form of videos and disks, as the material has proved difficult to digest due to its novelty, unconventional approach and the fact that a huge problem has proved easy to solve. That's what the reader doesn't understand - why a problem that's been thrust upon by more than one generation of scientists has turned out to be easy to solve. For a month or so, while I have been diligently trying to explain the merits of the problem on the vastness of the internet on two major forums, only one or two people have almost completely understood.

Yes, one can hardly hope to make a substantial profit from the sale of a book with a purely scientific content. Even detective-thrillers are probably not very popular these days. Most likely the publication will be unprofitable, and I think it is better to apply to the people who sponsor the development of science.

Lost, so far, 5K from real trading.
