I came across a very interesting specimen at the Championship https://championship.mql5.com/2011/ru/users/Pirat/ and immediately wanted one for myself. I read the description and wrote it up. It has turned out to be a grail for testers. It works on any timeframe and any currency pair. If you optimize it, you get profit on any non-optimized timeframe.
At first I was very excited, and put it on the real account. And I was very disappointed that real profit from each deal is 6-13 points less than in the tester. In addition the brokerage company where I opened the account charges me a commission for opening a deal at about 6 points.
If somebody of you manage to find such a brokerage company and get real profit I can only be glad for you and, of course, if it is not too much trouble, please let me know in person. If you do not mind, please let me know in your private message. Thank you!
Good luck to you!
Tell me why the EA doesn't open even in the tester, is there an error in the code? Please post the version without errors. I want to try it out.
To test with a floating spread you can do so http://vinipuh-forex.ucoz.ru/news/kak_poluchit_kachestvo_modelirovanija_99_v_testere_strategij_metatrader_4/2011-05-21-64
Disconnect from the server, set any spread you want and test as you please.
The way I solved the spread problem is this:
I put spread control,
If the spread exceeds a certain value, a trade is not opened.
You have clearly overdone it. Here are the trading conditions for EURUSD on NDD. The average is about 1 pip spread + 0.3 pip commission ($3 per lot), i.e. 1.3 pips.
Yes, of course, with lower liquidity (news) the spread increases a lot. But the commission remains the same.
My apologies. I did not indicate that I meant five decimal places. And since by definition a pip is the minimum amount by which the price can change, I meant 0.00001. That is, 1.3 of your pips is 13 in my opinion :)
Perhaps I messed up with the calculation of the commission. I have attached my calculation to the archive here.
In my tester it is leaking. And it is leaking very efficiently.
I tested using the Alpari-NDD-Live server

sammi61 put in the experts\include file Error.mqh I checked, the tester took a commission at one of the brokers. To test with floating spread you can do so http://vinipuh-forex.ucoz.ru/news/kak_poluchit_kachestvo_modelirovanija_99_v_testere_strategij_metatrader_4/2011-05-21-64
I cannot open it at all, I even cannot place it on a chart, maybe I should fix something in the code, more details please, or if there is a corrected version, please post it, I am not an expert in software.
