I don't support a far down hike either. As early as next week, support for the euro could be denied by the release of a new tranche to Greece. A little later Germany might be ripe for Eurobonds. Because yesterday's auction made it clear that refinancing next year could be very difficult. Around €330bn needs to be refinanced. In the first week of December another (last) dollar auction, options expiry and another meeting at European level where the issue of closer integration in Europe will be discussed (and possibly first statements and steps will be made).
