French government spokesman Francois Baroin has said that the UN could launch an intervention in Libya in just a few hours. In an interview with the French radio station RTL, he said the group of troops that would carry out the operation in the North African state would include units from France, Britain, the US and one or more Arab states.

Are they idiots or what ...? I don't understand it at all. It seems that Gaddafi and the opposition have both said that they will attack the interventionist troops.
