Думаю практически никто из успешных классический ТА не использует. Всяко приходится использовать более сложный анализ. Поэтому не вижу ничего зазорного классический ТА и покритиковать, как наиболее широко используемый в качестве разводилова. В общем я тоже присоединяюсь - ТА это хренология, а не наука ;)))
It depends on where you trade, if Nasdaq is where they like the classics - that's what they trade with. BUT - the information is available there, do we have it? only price and volumes from demo-progs.

Any analysis is purely for the purpose of ANALYSIS, the identification of the trends that have taken place. Then you can formulate Hypotheses about their possible continuation, for example. A hypothesis must be tested. And for predictions, go to a fortune teller.

Любой анализ нужен исключительно для АНАЛИЗА, выявления СЛОЖИВШИХСЯ тенденций. Далее можно формулировать ГИПОТЕЗЫ об их возможном продолжении, например. Гипотеза нуждается в проверке. А за предсказаниями - к гадалке.

You don't have to predict, you have to make a profit on a statistically significant number of trades. For example, betting on horses. You can think of ways to guess the horse that will come first in a particular race. You can even predict with high probability, but be at a disadvantage because the game was not worth the candle (bet/win ratio). Or one may find an underestimated horse, on which in the current race the bet/win ratio is quite favorable for you. And let the horses selected by these criteria lose more often, but it will be an average profit. I.e. there is no prediction even from a probabilistic point of view, there is a search for promising moments of over/undervaluation. "Predicting" only that the methods used will, on average, be profitable.

It's just that their analysis and forecasting is not based on a chart but on new information and the TA is just an add-on to keep track of the situation!
