I don't understand the reasons that prompted me to ask this question.
 
Interesting programs are written by Microsoft after all. Run the built-in Windows calculator and try to calculate how much 2+2*2 is. You get 8. If you switch the calculator now to "engineering" mode, i.e. "scientific", and calculate the same, you get 6. You can see that the programmers who wrote these two calculators have different approaches to mathematics.
