Here's a cool picture. Seen it a hundred times and still like it.
I remember Edler's 3-screen advisors and indices used to be written. Then we abandoned this business. Now a new one).
The main thing is that it works. And it's all clear... the question is how long.
In summer, longer. Less in winter.
You just have to use different parameters, though.
The main thing is that it works. And everything is clear... The question is how long.
Write an advisor-test it.
Rumour has it that it works no better or worse than any other rubbish system. Everything depends on parameters, just like everywhere else.

This happens with all systems based on TA, without exception, they work in periods, one of the tasks of trading with TA is to keep track of periods of profitability of one or another TS.
This is where the problem arises - the period of profitability is the same time of a trend and it is sometimes no easier to determine this trend and assume its duration than for an instrument)
The main thing shows the essence
The bottom line is that the truth can be spun however you like.
Let's spin it:
;))
For some TS, it is the trend time, for other TS, it is the flat time, you can calculate the equity of two systems on a demo chart and use this data for example, the one with higher prices, and mark it on the real deal ... no big deal...
What is the demo for? Now, the strategy tester can be automatically called from an Expert Advisor and receive testing data and include this or that strategy into trading based on the testing parameters.
And in general, why complicate things so much? You can just use charts to display the average, which one is higher - buy, which one is lower - sell...grail.
