Attempts have been made, but alas. In fact a whole bunch of people in every country in the world are working to maintain the dollar. Everyone who has even 1 dollar has already supported it and these people do not want it to die. Think of Mavrodi. The poor guy just could not cope with the volumes, it took more serious efforts and the sale of papers abroad.
