Hi, I am working on and EA which uses AI to take a trade. The problem I am facing is that the data I used to train the AI not matches up with the live broker account I am using. I have tried matching the data with following brokers:
1. Oanda
2. Forex.com
None of the above brokers provide historical data. I downloaded the historical data from MT4 history center and I have been looking at data sources which data matches up with the brokers I can use. I have tried DTN IQFeed to get historical data of multiple brokers but I couldn't find any source which matches up with the live data.
Does any one have faced data discrepancy issue like this in the live trading?
Any help would be appreciated.
Forex is not a centralised market, so each broker has different historical data. You will never be able to match them exactly, only approximately.
The most commonly used data for MT4 back-testing is the tick history data provided by Dukascopy. There are at least two 3rd party tools that automate the procedure for downloading the data and producing the FXT and HST files for MT4, namely TickStory and Birt's Tick Data Suite.
