Hi all, this is my first post.
I have tried buying bitcoin using Coinbase platform and I expect that they charge a fee for the privilege but every time I buy at a price say £32,153 the actual price Im buying at is £32,628 and if I try to sell, the same thing happens in reverse so I’m at a disadvantage because I have to wait until the price moves about £1000. Before I even start to make any progress.
Can anyone shed some light on this and maybe advise me please? I would like to start using Metatrader 4 but will I have the same problems there?
Thanks in advance
Can someone tell me where to go so I can start trading

hello as Lim Kah Keing explained, that is called spread. the broker gain is that for each asset they will sell at 3 and they will buy at 1 (random numbers). if you buy, you take broker selling price which is 3, but to sell back at zero profit/loss your position must cover the gap from 3 to 1 . that is the broker gain on your position.
you will encounter this with all assets you trade and with most of the brokers. and the brokers that have very small spread will charge you in another way.
if I may state an personal opinion, for a first timer in trading is very hard to avoid huge loses, i would sugest alot of practice on a demo account.
I do both. Trade it, and use some of the proceed to invest in it.
