Hai, Im trying to install MT 5, during setup it is asking as, PLS specify proxy server options , Server, Login and password, which I dont have. This before I wasnt asked like this.

Pls help me to resort this.

The proxy may be asked for many reasons:

  • you (or your internet provider) are really using proxy;
  • you are having old Windows versions (for example - 32-bit Windows versions are not supported by MT5 anymore);
  • you are using Linux or any other OS which is not compatible with 64-bit Windows;
  • you are using external VPS which is not compatible with the latest builds of MT5 (ask your VPS provider for support, or change VPS provider);
  • you are trying to install MT5 from some other websites; it is necessary to install MT5 from this website ( Download MetaTrader 5 ) because the latest MT5 build is 3311);
  • more reasons.

You can try to find the reason for proxy asking to make some decision about what to do.
